Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some tips and tricks that you may find useful. Depending on your mouse model, you can customize buttons, the speed of the pointer or even the speed of your scroll wheel. There are a bunch of check boxes on the game configuration tab that have to do with "Keep OS assignments" or something like that, and I'd like to know which of those you have selected. You might be surprised to learn that you can unlock a number of bonus features on your Logitech mouse simply by installing and using our SetPoint software for Windows or Logitech Control Center software for Mac. If anyone does have this mouse though and has it working in SOTA, I'd love to hear what version of SetPoint you are using and how you set it up in the manager panel. I know that I've been starting SetPoint and hitting "Apply" before running the SOTA Launcher though just to be sure it's activated, which is what I used to do to get it to work before.Ĭome to think of it, I think I had it installed on a different hard drive last time around, so maybe it being inside the Program Files directory is causing issues? I'll uninstall/reinstall it in a different folder and see if that fixes it. I'm pretty sure it's set to load on bootup, but might not be. But I'll give them a go tonight when I get home. I'm at work right now so I can't test any of those suggestions. I don't have either, however, so I can't tell you if this actually works.Ĭlick to expand.Thank you for the informative post Sir! This should basically recreate new registry entries for both devices, which should make them both show up in their respective software. I've seen a couple forum posts to try shutting down the system, unpulling the mouse, moving the keyboard USB to another port, plugging the mouse into the keyboard, and then booting up. The G15 uses different software (Logitech Gaming Keyboard Software, or LGKS) than the mouse (SetPoint), so as long as both are installed they should work fine. Windows Vista and later do some strange things to their protected folders (C:\Windows, C:\Program Files, C:\Program Files (x86), and C:\Users\). I generally recommend installing all applications outside of the Windows protected folders (uninstall and reinstall both programs to C:/Apps/, for example). 64-bit applications install to /Program Files, while 32-bit applications install to /Program Files (x86). Make sure SetPoint is configured to load on bootup. I also have a Logitech G15 Keyboard and have installed some software for that (could that be interfering with SetPoint?) I'm running Win 7 Pro (64bit) but SetPoint might be a 32bit version - I downloaded the 64bit version, but it installed into /program files, not /program files (x86) I know it's not a hardware issue and not SOTA blocking them from working because I've had it working before I had to reinstall everything. but none of them are working when I get in SOTA.Īnyone else have an MX Revolution mouse and is able to assign keys to it specifically for when in SOTA?Īre there alternatives to SetPoint that I could use to get the button assignments to work again? The panel looks the same and I assigned all of my buttons the same way I used to do it. I believe I now have a newer version of SetPoint and this might be my issue. As such, I had to reinstall all of my drivers and programs. However, I had some other computer problems after a Windows Update and so I ended up reinstalling Windows 7. Up until a few weeks ago, I was able to assign the buttons on my MX Revolution mouse with various keyboard keys for SOTA through the SetPoint Manager program.
